A special Thank you

I would like to thank my amazing new friend Scrappin Madge who is also a consultant for close to my heart for helping me add some of the little extras to my blog to make it what it is today.. I had a little knowledge of web making or as they call it "Blogs" now. But she just jumped right in there and taught me so much today.. Thank you from the Bottom of my heart my friend. The thing I love about close to my heart is there as soooooooooo many wonderful ladies that are willing to help you. I have meet a great group of women who inspire me every day. Also my leader Jessica whom I posted her blog to the side is just amazing and always there to help me. I also want to put a shout out there to my dear friend Jerrie who is my local close to my heart friend who has directed me and showed me so many things I needed to learn hands on.. I am so appreciative to you all. Also to My new friend Melissa Fromm who has encouraged me and believed that my work was worthy of a blog.. Thank you.. Mickey thank you also for your encouragement last night and helping me with getting me to do a blog.. There are so many to thanks and I don't want to leave anyone out.. Mandy Leahy for being the leader of the Divas.. I love your work and think you are beautiful and so is your family.. Also for my friend and first downline Sherry Cross.. She also is my hairdresser and my very crafty friend who wanted to join close to my heart with me.. So Now I have people from Utah, New Jersey, Ca, Va and where else cheering me on. Who knows where this will take me. I just have a passion and I want to share it.

My first Blog

I have been posting my projects to my Facebook page and even made me a Facebook group page called Donnaleesplace for paper crafting.. I invited many of my FB friends and noticed I was not getting much response. So I guess they are just not interested:)So this is another reason I wanted a blog.. I know there are other women out there that have a passion for paper crafting like I do! I have 4 Grandchildren Twin Grandsons who are 9 1/2 and are going into the 4th grade and 2 Granddaughters both going in the 1st grade. I have been helping take care of them since they where babies. I have enjoyed every second. Watching them grow has been amazing:) Now it is almost back to school time and this GUBBIE AS THE GRANDKIDS CALL ME:) Is ready for the next chapter of My life. I love taking pictures especially those of my beautiful Grandkids and my gorgeous 2 year old Akita puppy Tucker. I have shared them on FB with friends but I want to do MORE. I found a new way ... Close to my Heart is such a pretty way of scraping. I want to share my love for all this with you.. So now I am an independent consultant FOR CLOSE TO MY HEART. I have an online store where you can order all these supplies . So bare with me as I start my first blog and share with you some of the things I have made. I've been asked by some of my fellow crafting friends to start a blog so I could share my love for CLOSE TO MY HEART and to share some of the fun things that I have been making since I became a new INDEPENDANT CONSULTANT... ME REALLY??..I had no plans to sign up but when I saw in April they had this awesome promotion that I just could not pass on. At first I thought o.k. I will do this as a hobby and then as I was starting to create Such PRETTY cards. Which I have never been a card maker before I found out that I LOVED making them. I have always enjoyed taking photos so now I am ready to get my photos into my beautiful CLOSE TO MY HEART ALBUMS. Close to my heart has so much more to offer then what I was doing before. My pages are bright and sassy and just bring out the best in me. I can't wait to have some free time again so I can get caught up and be the Creative WOMEN I KNOW I AM. I am very behind. So now that all 4 of my awesome grandkids are going to be in school full time I need something to do with my time. OTHER THEN GO WORK A REAL JOB which I don't really want to do. I enjoy staying at home. So here we go my first blog.

My Back to School Mini Album

I used my Close to my heart ARTBOOKING CRICUT cartridge to create this cute little mini book. Used the beautiful new Chalk it up paper pack and Chalk it up COMPLIMENTS with coordinating chipboard pieces.

If you would like me to help you make something like this I would love to show you how. After I got it all together I used a piece of ribbon to hold it together.. Easy as can be to make.
